Are You Really Ready to Organize Your Photos?

Hi Reader,

You know what I've learned after 20+ years of helping people organize their photos? Having the right tools and knowledge isn't enough. Even having a great teacher isn't enough (and as a former teacher myself, that's not easy to admit!).

The secret ingredient? Being willing to show up and do the work.

This truth hit home for me recently through my own journey as a student. You see, I've been writing a novel since 2003 - yes, for over 20 years! I've joined writing programs, worked with multiple book coaches, and kept starting over, trying to find the "perfect" approach. But something wasn't clicking.

Then recently, I started working with a new book coach who happens to be a teacher. During our first meeting, she did something different than previous mentors - she asked about my preferences, respected my experience, and didn't try to force me into a one-size-fits-all approach. That's when it hit me: this is exactly how I work with my photo organizing clients!

Here's what I've realized: organizing your photo collection is a lot like writing a novel:

  • It's a long-term project that unfolds in stages
  • It involves multiple overlapping tasks
  • It's deeply personal - no two collections will be organized exactly the same way
  • Most importantly: it only gets done when you actually do the work

No amount of thinking about organizing your photos will get them organized. No amount of collecting free tips will create that meaningful collection you dream of leaving for your family.

So let me ask you: Are you ready to put in the work to get your photos organized? Really ready?

If you are - and you know that having accountability and guidance would help you succeed - I invite you to check out The Family Photo Keeper Academy. Just like my book coach supports my novel-writing journey, I'm here to support your photo organizing goals.

Our current members are making real progress - each at their own pace, fitting the work into their lives in different ways, but all moving forward because they're willing to show up and do the work.

Want to learn more? Book a free Strategy Session with me. This isn't a sales call - it's a chance for you to ask your specific questions and get my best advice for your unique situation.

I'm looking forward to helping you achieve your photo organizing goals - when you're ready to do the work.

Warmly,

Fancy

Hi Reader, Sometimes lessons hide in the strangest places. You may know that I'm writing a novel - a project I've been working on for over 20 years. Last summer, I took what I thought would be a big step forward and joined a group program with a certified Book Coach. But sometimes the wrong fit can teach us the most valuable lessons. That first coach wanted to completely change my story. She didn't want the love interest to die (she wanted her to abandon the main character instead). She...

Hi Reader, Ever feel like your photo collection is less of a “project” and more of a full-on flood? Like you’re paddling through boxes and hard drives and framed prints with no idea where to start? You’re not alone. When I talk to people about organizing their photos, the most common word I hear is: overwhelm. They don’t know what’s important. They don’t feel confident with the tech. They don’t even know where to start. It feels like drowning. And yet—this project can be done. It just...
